If you are calling around it is up to you to ensure you are getting the most qualified person for the investigations/reporting you are paying.  Conducting a flow test (recovery test, pump-down test, etc), interpretation and reporting on the results along with providing recommendations to the client/public, etc, fit the APGNS definition of professional geoscience practice.  That would require professional registration both for the individual and the company. There are companies and individuals claiming to conduct well flow testing that are not licensed as P.Geo, so buyers and sellers beware.  To be listed to conduct the following work, a minimum requirement is $2,000,000.00 Errors and Omissions Insurance and $1,000,000.00 Commercial Insurance.  It is up to you to do your due diligence that the professionals you retain are qualified and have no vested interest with companies that sell or install water treatment systems or drill wells.
